National Scale Summing-J-Box
The National Scale Summing Junction Box embodies National
Scale's commitment to serving you with thoughtfully designed, high quality products. The
Summing Junction Box is used for summing the signal output of multiple load cells used in
indication or integration weighing systems. The Summing Junction Box also simplifies
installation leveling, system troubleshooting and load cell calibration. This
Summing-J-Box has built in test points and the design can accommodate Bridgesensors which
output 4 - 20 mA signals with no digital Indicator needed. These functions are employed
through a highly reliable and accurate component combination housed in a NEMA 4, IP67 ABS
or NEMA 7.9 (optional) enclosure.
List price is anticipated to be $ 510.00 with availability in approximately two to
three weeks. Contact sales@measurespec.com

Summing Junction Box Theory of Operation
The Summing-J-Box is designed for use with two or more load
cells, with bridge resistance ranging from 120 to 1000 ohms. Signal trimming SPAN and tare
zeroing ZERO are provided via potentiometers on the Summing Junction Box. Signal trimming
allow for matching of the full span output of each load cell. Tare zeroing allows each
load cell output to matched at tare weight so that live load output can be accurately
observed for each load cell. The Summing Junction Box also incorporates switching
circuitry to enable isolation of any combination of load cells from the system. This
feature is useful in leveling, troubleshooting and calibration. For more than four load
cells, the Summing Junction Box is equipped with an expansion port to daisy chain multiple
Summing-J-Boxes.
