Control Descriptions
Component purposes are listed as follows:
- S1, S2, S3, S4 toggle switches are to
disconnect the load cell(s) output signal(s) from the measurement device. When the switch
is set to 0 the corresponding load cell is isolated. When the switch
toggle is at 1, the corresponding load cell is on.
- ZERO potentiometers offset (null) the No Load
Output (zero balance) and the dead load of the weighing vessel on each individual load
cell before it's output is summed.
- SPAN potentiometers balance individual load
cell outputs when a load is applied. This is accomplished by signal trimming.
- SIG+, SIG- test points provide a convenient
point to attach a digital DC millivolt meter for troubleshooting
and calibration. These points accept
standard 0.08" probe tips.
- WIRING CONNECTORS as explained in Summing
Junction Box wiring.
- R-CAL switch places a shunt calibration
resistor across the summed output when in the TEST position.
